About us

We are a community of diverse individuals who share a passion for cycling. We love riding bicycles. We also love building them, talking about them, reading about them, thinking about them, dreaming about them, planning routes to ride them on, and holidays to enjoy with them. We want to share this passion with you. Heck, we’ve got so much to spare we want to share it with everyone!

And by “everyone”, we mean everyone. Being a London club, we are acutely aware of the juxtaposition between the popularity of cycling amongst middle aged white men, and the fact that we are blessed to be based in a wonderfully diverse city. The cycling community still has much to learn to address that balance, and we strongly recommend everyone reads the Diversity in Cycling report published by Diversity in Cycling. We are committed to keep reading, listening, talking and learning.

Our members have enjoyed a far richer experience from the variety of backgrounds between them, and it’s something we are very proud of.

We’re committed to making the sport we love accessible to all; our low costs and development rides are testament to this.

We’re a friendly bunch. Not only to each other, but to all people we encounter, regardless of who they are or what they represent.

The social element of the club is our strong suit. Many members consider our rides merely an excuse to socialise with the club in the finest local cafés and hostelries!

Fun is at the heart of everything we do, it is a hobby after all! Regardless of individual or collective aspiration, we try not to lose sight of that value.

We’re not big on bureaucracy, our members treasure our relaxed informality.

We care deeply about our impact on the environment and society. We promote safe, responsible riding, and respect toward everything that shares our space, be it flora, fauna or other road users.

Whatever your requirements for adventure, we’ve got you covered; whether new local routes, new terrain, trips abroad, or ultra-endurance events (we have multiple TCR finishers)!
